Bad Jodie

Fell off the no-smoking wagon this week.  Too much stress and anxiety going on at the moment.  Life, work and getting acclimated to a new employer was just too much for me.

Going to continue to take the Chantix as prescribed and maybe magically I'll wake up one day not feeling the urge.  I am having a horrible time sleeping and a few really weird dreams now and then - known side effects.  No homicidal thoughts - yet! LOL

As I posted on June Jumpstart, all I can do is try, try and try again.  One of these days I'll get it right.

you'll get it - it takes 3 to 6 YEARS  to truely overcome a long term behaivor like smoking or poor eating so everytime you get a few weeks its better than nothing

you can do it jodie we know u can

Thanks, Danni.  That psyche class is already paying off and you're already able to give uplifting advice!

Jodie,

Your not "bad" you have to remember that nicotine is as addictive that cocaine. Relapse is very common and your trying. Be careful with the Chantex my niece did not do well on it. Hang in there!

Your loved!

Lynnette - as the cost of cigarettes increases it will soon be the same price as a cocaine habit!!

What kind of problems did your niece have?  I want to be totally aware and nip any problems in the bud for they get out of hand.  I can tell my mood is in the crapper - but I can usually offset that with another med.  The dreams are weird and vivid though - kinda creepy!

Jodie, I am sending happy thoughts and good strong vibes your way.. You can do it... We all fall off of the wagon...we just have to get back in it when we do..

Smile, it increases your face value.

Bender - you know I love you girlie!  You know how my stress level has been out of control the last few weeks.  I'm going to at least hold on to the wagon and not let it get out of sight so I can get back on!

JODIE...sux to be human sometimes, doesn't it??? Maybe you feel worse because you've been so wildly successful at weight loss, but the smoking remains a struggle. Nicotine isn't really the ADDICTION-the "habit" is..but that nicotine is a mean ***** too.. You hang in there (just like you're doing). I know you're not giving up, or wouldn't hve posted this today. I personally know 4 long term die hard smokers (all had smoked 30+ yes..one had smoked 50+), were were able to quit the habit with the help of Chantix. Everyone if different, of course. Maybe it works better the longer you smoked. I'm glad you're not giving it up. You can do this!! You don't want your new, SKINNY clothes to be all SMOKEY and STINKEY!!!!
